Last year at Winton, two new names were added to the list of race winners for 2013.
First it was the Norton Hornets flying home for a 1-2 finish at the tight, twisty 3km circuit. Mark Winterbottom was best in the second run, and James Courtney nabbed his first win of the year in the final race of the weekend.
Will we see another team trump Red Bull Racing Australia and Holden Racing Team, which have won all six Championship races between them in 2014?
This year, Craig Lowndes leads the Championship with a 70-point advantage over his teammate Jamie Whincup. Lockwood Racing’s Fabian Coulthard sits third, with Courtney and Winterbottom completing the top five.
Erebus is on a roll with Will Davison having already equaled the team’s best race finish, and Russell Ingall finds himself 10th after an impressive qualifying and reasonable run at the Apple Isle.
Who will come away from the Winton Super Sprint round with maximum points? Who needs to get on the pace?
